Coupling the sectors in the energy system, such as electricity, heat and gas, means a further increase in the complexity and interconnectedness already present in the electricity network of the future alone. Highly networked automation solutions based on massive ICT systems are central. Therefore, the reliability of the device operating systems plays a major role. In the project weak points of the systems are analysed, necessary security properties are derived and concepts for secure systems are developed.
