The third online workshop in the “FlexBlue. Connect” series, which will take place online (in German) on May 8, 2025 from 15:00 to 16:30, will discuss issues relating to the flexibilization of cooling supply systems. Participation is free of charge and is aimed at all players in the value chain in the cooling sector.

One focus of the event is on current results from our research project “FlexBlue – Flexible cooling supply systems against the backdrop of increasing decarbonization”. Specifically, we will take a look at the two demonstrators in real refrigeration applications that are currently being developed as part of FlexBlue. With their help, possible flexibilization operating modes of refrigeration supply systems are to be tested. The two demonstrators combine different cooling supply technologies with actively controllable cooling and heat storage units with phase change elements (PCM).

In their presentations, Dr.-Ing. Heiko Maaß from the IAI and Tino Leyrer (RÜTGERS GmbH & Co. KG) will report on the preparatory steps taken so far and the current status of experience gained.
