- Development of ink formulations, printing processes and the conceptual design and characterization of novel (opto)electronic components
- Application of machine learning in printing processes and sensor applications
- Supporting the coordination and contributions of the research group to the MSE programme and other research projects.
- Collaboration on elaboration of project reports and support in coordinating the laboratory infrastructure at the IAI as well as close cooperation with the research group at InnovationLab Heidelberg (Research group Prof Gerardo Hernandez-Sosa)
- Publication and publication of research results in international journals and at international conferences
- Supervision of graduate and undergraduate students and support of internships in the field of printed electronics
Personal qualification
You have a university degree (Diplom (Uni)/Master) in electrical engineering, physics or materials science with a completed doctorate and many years of professional experience in the field of inkjet printing for (opto)electronics. Expertise in the manufacture of (opto)electronic components or sensors using inkjet printing is mandatory. Knowledge in the production of flexible and stretchable electronic components, in physical and chemical sensors, in optoelectronics and semiconductor physics is required. Initial experience in machine learning and 3D printing is an advantage. Furthermore, you have the experience and expertise to supervise doctoral students and have already gained practical experience in project management. The ability to work in a team, experience in the publication of scientific publications as first author in renowned, internationally peer-reviewed journals, as well as very good written and spoken English skills round off your profile.
