Simon Kappenstein was awarded the “Most Active Participant of the Session Power Engineering” award at the 66th edition of the “IEEE International Scientific Conference on Power and Electrical Engineering of Riga Technical University” (RTUCON), which took place from October 23 to 25, 2025 in Riga, Latvia. His paper, entitled “Invisible Periodic Energy Control of Modular Multilevel Converters,” was written in collaboration with Prof. Lutz Gröll in the System Theory and Control (STC) working group.
