On 10.04.2019 Alexander Murray was declared the winner of the Global Energy Youth Talks at the VIII Global Energy Prize Summit for his presentation on “Decomposition and Parallelization of Mixed-Integer Optimization in Energy Systems”. The summit is a discussion platform wherein Global Energy Prize Laureates as well as experts from around the world can discuss urgent energy issues, work out solutions, and communicate to the public and leading energy organizations. The Youth Talks form a part of the summit wherein doctoral researchers may present their research to an international panel of scientists, among which are Global Energy and Nobel Prize winners.
