The following successes have been achieved at the 11th International Conference on Smart Energy Grid Engineering (IEEE SEGE), August 13-15, 2023, in Oshawa, Canada:

Mr. Moritz Weber was awarded the 2023 Best Paper Award for his contribution “A Novel Method for Topology Preserving Static Network Reduction”. Co-authors include: Hüseyin Kemal Çakmak, Uwe Kühnapfel and Prof. Veit Hagenmeyer.

Mr. Rafael Poppenborg was awarded the 2023 Best Presentation Award within the ”Online Session 1 - Modern Energy Development and Management” for his contribution “Dynamic Mapping for Evolutionary Algorithm Based Optimization of Energy Hub Gas Scheduling”. Co-authors include: Prof. Thomas Kolb and Christian Hotz (both EBI ceb), Katharina Beisswanger sowie Dr. Kevin Förderer und Prof. Veit Hagenmeyer (both IAI).
