Camera-based analysis and control for novel burner concepts (as part of BRENDA)

At the BRENDA plant, novel burner and burner control concepts are developed and researched together with the ITC. For this purpose, camera-based methods for recording and evaluating the fuel behaviour and flame of multi-fuel burners are developed and applied. The aim is to develop camera-based burner control systems to optimize load and fuel flexibility, fuel yield and minimize pollutant emissions. Application targets are industrial burner systems for the use of alternative fuels in the cement and primary industries as well as in power plants.
