We congratulate PD Dr.-Ing. Jörg Matthes on his appointment as Extraordinary Professor (apl. Prof.) of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. Mr. Jörg Matthes is head of the working group Advanced Automation Methods for Industrial Processes (AMIP) in the Research Area of Advanced Automation Technologies (A2T) at the Institute for Automation and Applied Informatics. He received the Venia Legendi in 2017 after submitting his habilitation thesis Ganzheitliches Konzept zur kamerabasierten Optimierung industrieller Hochtemperaturprozesse. The certificate of appointment as an apl. Professor was presented to Mr. Matthes by Dean Prof. Furmans on Januay 28, 2021.
