Optimization of cement production and zinc recycling (as part of OPTIMER)

The aim of the OPTIMER project, which is funded by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy, is to optimise cement clinker cooling and zinc recycling in the rotary kiln.

By using innovative measuring methods based on new camera technologies (infrared range 10.6 ± 0.1 μm), characteristic parameters for the condition of the two processes zinc recycling and cement clinker cooling are to be calculated together with the project partner ci-tec.

Theoretical process models will be developed on the basis of the newly obtained parameters. This is intended to develop and practically demonstrate an innovative control concept for increasing energy efficiency. The aim is to achieve sustainable energy savings.
